Chiquy Mejia and Boom Entertainment Bay Area

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Chiquy has been dancing since her mother enrolled her in classes when she was 6 years old. By age 15, Mejia had developed a keen sense for the variety of Latin and American dance steps. By age 17, she was hired as a choreographer in a clown company to create dances for children’s songs.
